Chris Coleman 's classes are a mix of Vinyasa, which is based in Ashtanga tradition, this yoga is an athletic, powerful practice, and therapeutic yoga.   Her classes combine a series of flowing postures with emphasis on thoughtful movements and  rhythmic breathing to develop muscular energy, core strength, balance and to attain mind-body awareness.  Chris was first turned on to yoga in 2002 during her first pregnancy while living in Seattle and practiced gentle pregnancy yoga.  Ten years ago Chris and her family moved back to Scandia where she was raised (née Obst).  Once bitten by the Corepower Yoga bug at the Minneapolis studio, she discovered that the power of yoga went well beyond the physical but also connected her mind and body, and completed the Corepower 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher training program.  Most recently she completed a 500-hour level Hatha YogaTraining in the Himalayan Tradition and Level 1 Yoga Therapy certification with Yoga North in Duluth, MN.   Chris loves to share her passion for yoga with everyone she meets and enjoys teaching yoga to all ages.   She also works as a guide in France leading adult tour groups for Seattle-based tour operator Rick Steves.

Calli Waddell  began her yoga journey by taking a chance and doing something she had never done, but had always wanted to do. It only took one yoga class for her to know that yoga would change her life. Calli became a devout practitioner and knew that she wanted others to experience the joy yoga brought to her life. She had the opportunity to travel to the beautiful island of Bali for a full month to study yoga and couldn't turn it down! After a month of living the yogic lifestyle in a tropical paradise she received her 200 hour certification as well as a stand up paddle board yoga certification. She is committed to sharing her love for yoga with those around her.

Joyce Marienfeld  has been teaching yoga the past seven years, after working as a counselor and teacher with adolescents and their families for many years. Although Joyce had dabbled in yoga for many years, it wasn’t until she committed to a regular yoga practice, about ten years ago, that she experienced an amazing difference in her life. Wanting to share her joy with others, she became certified as a 200 hr. RYT with YogaFit/Yoga Alliance, 500hr. RYT training in Integrative Yoga Therapy,  and is certified in Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy and qualified to be a facilitator for a "Overcome Anxiety Clinic".   As a counselor and yoga teacher, she has also had the wonderful opportunity to lead women's groups and retreats.   Joyce believes that by practicing yoga, we have an opportunity to come to embrace what is real for us. Learning to focus on our breath and movements, to listen to our bodies, to let go of judgments of ourselves... we become more fully present in the moment, kinder to ourselves and others.  Joyce is very excited about teaching at Yoga Forest and learning from the other teachers and students!
