YOGA FOREST 100-hour immersion - Level 1 Teacher Training
This immersion into yoga training can be taken alone and is a Level 1 Teacher Training a prerequisite for Part 2 Yoga Forest Teacher training to be held in January-April 2020 with the possibility of a 2019 summer intensive option. Many practitioners not interested in teaching yoga choose to take this workshop immersion and enjoy dramatic shifts in their lives. If you dream of sharing yoga with others through teaching, this immersion is a pre-requisite for a 200 hour teacher training. Every day of your immersion workshop will include a mix of asana, hands-on learning, lecture, discussion, journaling, mediation and breathwork. Expect to practice every morning and every afternoon on training days.
5 weekends- March 1-3, 15-17, 29-31; April 12-14, 26-28
Fridays 5:30-9:30pm; Saturdays 9:30am-6:30pm; Sundays 9:00am-5:00pm
*Vinyasa, Hatha and SomaYoga styles explored
*Names, forms, and safe performance of foundational and standing asanas (poses), inversions, arm balances and back bends
*Basic anatomy and functional movement and alignment in yoga with respect to anatomy
*Subtle body anatomy, including the chakras and the koshas
*Foundations of yoga philosophy - including the different schools of yoga and their history and evolution; the Yamas and Niyamas (ethical precepts of yoga), and other philosophical frameworks
*Introduction to pranayama and meditation
*Ayurveda and the doshas
*Hands-on adjustments and partner work

For cancellation more than 30 days out, a refund of your course fee minus the non-refundable deposit.
Within 30 days of the course start date: 50% of the course fee will be refunded
Within 7 days of the course start date: 25% of the course fee will be refunded.

A Yoga Alliance E-RYT-200, RYT 500, C-IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist and Owner of Yoga Forest in Forest Lake, MN. Chris brings over 10 years of yoga learning and instruction experience to share in the classes and trainings. Chris’ teaching focuses on empowering others to find sources of health and happiness through detailed knowledge of the body, importance of functional movement and encouraging awareness.
